Workshops and courses
Floristry workshops take place in my 300 year old cottage in Chewton Keynsham where I have a purposely designed space for courses. All materials are provided within the cost so for a floristry workshop this will include any flowers, foliage and plants required. You will also have use of professional floristry scissors and an apron to protect your clothing.
For the growing or cutting workshops these will often involve a trip to the flower farm so I recommend bringing gardening gloves and a pair of wellingtons or other suitable footwear.
Christmas Wreath Workshop
Saturday 29th November 2-4pm
Kick off Christmas in style! Join me for mulled wine and minced pies as I show you how to make your own traditional mossed luxury Christmas wreath. All the foliage, pine cones and dried flowers are grown on the flower farm in Bristol.
There will be plenty of decorations, including baubles, fruit slices, cinnamon sticks, pine cones, ribbons and dried flowers to choose from, enabling you to make something totally unique! Go with all the trimmings, or keep your design natural - it's up to you and I will be on hand to help and advise you if you need it along the way.
Come along and meet fellow crafters or bring a friend or two!
If you have a group of 8 or more I can offer you a private booking, either come to the workshop, or I’ll bring everything to you - if this is of interest please get in touch as dates book up quickly.

Flower farming for beginners

This day is aimed at those who would like to grow flowers to sell, whether this be in your garden, or on a larger plot of land.
We will cover topics such as land management and preparation, tools, setup cost, selecting what to grow, planning your crops, seed sowing - how and when, recommended suppliers, how to care for the patch to get the best yield, when to cut, how to condition, and ways to sell your flowers.
The day will include lunch, refreshments, and a handout to cover the topics from the day.
Group sizes are a maximum of 6 to ensure you have the opportunity to ask questions and get a response tailored to your situation. By the end of the day you should go home ready to start on your patch.

GROW your own cutting garden

9.30am - 2.30pm
This day is aimed at those who would like to grow their own cutting patch in the garden at home. We will cover choosing the best spot, soil management and preparation, selecting what to grow, seed sowing (you will sow seeds on the day to take home) and how to care for the patch.
We will also run through how to cut and condition your flowers for the best vase life. The day will include refreshments, a handout to cover the topics from the day, and a trip round the flower farm.
By the end of the day you should go home brimming with ideas and feeling inspired to get started on your own garden!
Cost £140.00 per person
Please note the price has been reduced slightly as we will not be providing food due to the current situation so please bring your own packed lunch. Should the workshop receive less than 2 bookings this will be run as a one to one and will be an hour shorter than advertised.

Covid-19 Update - Max numbers on these workshops have been set to ensure everyone has the current recommended space for social distancing. Please note that if the workshop is not able to go ahead due to any regulations regarding Covid-19, or if you are feeling unwell or uncomfortable attending, then you can either transfer your booking to a re-arranged date, or you can arrange to have the workshop as a one to one which will be 4 hour day. No refunds will be issued so please only book a place if you are happy with these options.

Private bookings
If you have a group of 6 or more I can offer private workshops - these are great for friends, hen parties or corporate events. I can tailor a workshop to suit your requirements - in the past these have included flower crowns, hand tied bouquets, wreaths and garlands but if you have any ideas I am happy to discuss them with you. Private bookings can be held at my workshop or I can come to your home or venue of your choice. Please get in touch for more information.
Cancellations
Unfortunately refunds are not available on cancellations as there are a limited number of places available on workshops and we may not be able to re-sell your space.
